About Generation T
Welcome to Generation T – an owner-operated education consultancy company created to support schools and systems to improve teacher and student learning, with a targeted focus on building the leadership capabilities of all middle leaders.
Who am I?
I’m Therese Connor, the founder of Generation T. I have a strong commitment to supporting students, teachers, and leaders in understanding the what, why and how of learning, and I have extensive knowledge of the pedagogy that underpins expansive education, particularly Guy Claxton’s The Learning Powered Approach.

I have a passion for continuous improvement in educational leadership by:
-
expanding knowledge and skills through research,
-
facilitating practical application of new learnings in a safe and supportive environment,
-
using cycles of evidence, feedback and reflection to further build capabilities.

"I work collectively with others and look inwards, outwards, and forwards, to ensure I work within the school and broader context whilst being future-focused and evidence-informed".
Career Highlights
The practical application of my Master of Educational Leadership was evident in my coaching and mentoring of middle leaders to build their capabilities to understand how to effectively lead and mentor teams of people.

Using my Master of Gifted Education qualification, I initiated and developed a gifted and enrichment centre at an independent school, meeting the needs of disengaged students through innovative programs and professional learning for teachers.
Possessing a deep knowledge of learning dispositions and social and emotional learning, I worked with our leadership team to understand and implement a new teaching and learning framework from K-12. My accreditation as a Change Leader supported me in leading this strategic direction across the College.

I led the establishment of Professional Learning Communities across the school through learning cycles of knowledge and skills acquisition, practical application, evidence-based feedback, and reflection to inform future practices. This included team meetings, classroom observations, learning walks, guided constructive self-analysis of teaching practices, and implementing student voice.
Working in partnership with Wollongong University, I created a program that provided undergraduate teachers with the opportunity to connect and learn with experienced mentor teachers in schools. I also worked at the University of Wollongong in the Masters of Teaching course – Behaviour Management and Resilience.
I am available to work with leadership teams, to help build the knowledge and skills that will deepen their capacity to work effectively with teachers, ultimately impacting positively on student learning and progress.
